William Shakespeare
I love Shakespeare. So much. I don't like reading in my english classes as many could agree, but wow performing it? It's awesome. Today the Utah Shakespearean Festival came to our school and performed a play for us, and then we performed for them. It was a cool experience. We performed our show for them and then we sat down for a hour and a half and talked with them. Some of the things they said and the advice they gave...I was very grateful for it. I've always loved Shakespeare. If he didn't exist I couldn't be experiencing the love and joy I feel for acting as I do now. He was a very, very brilliant guy and being involved in one of his plays has really gotten me to get a better feel for that. Just the way the actors were talking about his work today, I thought it was very cool. That was just something that I was reminded of today that is on my mind. I could truely say I would not be who I am today without him, so thank you William Shakespeare. I also really liked how the actors talked to us about really how to go about becoming a proffesional actor. They gave some great advice and I wish I could even remember it all...wow it really is just so much harder then I could of ever imagined. There are so many elements to acting that I'm slowly starting to think that maybe the reality is I can't do it. But I instantly push those thoughts away. I have found something I have a passion for, something that makes me happy and something that I really do love. And I'm going after it with all that I can.
