Books&Books&Books
What a fabulous weekend! Honestly, there is nothing better than good quality family time. As cheesy as it sounds, family is what matters most. And I love my family more than anything. I am so extrememly grateful I have people like them in my life. Especially thinking of my father on this father's day. My dad and I share a bond that is something that honestly cannot be put into words. He is the one person that is always there, cheering me on, no matter what. He means more to me than I could ever tell him and he is the one person in this world that would hurt me more than anything to lose. Deep stuff, but I just had to express my thoughts on my wonderful dad this day. You know, I just enjoy going up into Island Park and spending time at the cabin because it just allows me to clear my mind. I spend the day eating good food, reading, playing card games, and hiking in the beautiful wilderness. I feel as if I can never find enough time to read so to be able to sit and read for as long as I wanted this weekend was such a gift. The Hunger Games. I have resisted reading this books just as to not fall into the whole hysteria, I just feel like sometime with all the hype of these young adult novels it can make the novel seem very overrated. But oh my goodness. The Hunger Games series is worth ALL the hype that it gets. Definitely just went to my top ten list. So much better than any Twilight mushy gushy romance novel. I love that Katniss is such a powerful and strong character. These books contain so much action, they are such an amaazing read. So yes I have fallen into the trap and now I cannot wait for the movie. Also, I read a book called Matched this weekend. Another one of those dystopian romance novels, but it was really enjoyable. I loved the theme. Very much inspired me in wanting to live my life to the fullest. And when a book can do that, I say that is about as good as it gets. Yet again me ranting about literature! I just can't get enough of it. Well, here's to a good week!
